Pray and Pray Well and God Will Hear and Answer you (Isa.55:10-11/Ps.34/Matthew 6:7-15)

"In praying do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him" Matthew 6:7-8

When you need to reach people in this twenty first century it is easily done through the Internet or by calling them with your phone. when it connects, there will be a communication between you and the person.

As children of God we also have a channel of communication with Him and that is through prayers. We dialogue with Him and ask Him of our needs and seek His blessings also.

Jesus in the gospel reading warned His disciples not to be like the Gentiles who heap up empty phrases thinking that will be heard. He taught them the way to pray and the  'Our Father' structure is what we need to apply in our lives and follow whenever we set out to pray.

Jesus taught His disciples to pray a prayer that comes from the heart, that is, a prayer that has quality and not something that is full of phrases but empty of substance.

our prayers should follow the model taught by our Lord Jesus Christ. It is only when we pray and pray well that we will make God listen to us and answer our prayers. To say too many words is not the answer, because even before we pray, God already knows what we need end before we tell Him what we need.

We must have faith in God before we pray and we must praise and thank Him for all He he did, is doing and will do in our lives. His word is like the rain the falls on the face of the earth and cannot return back to the heavens until it had watered the ground and make the farmers to have a bountiful harvest. The word of the Lord cannot return back to Him empty.

our prayers to God must be sincere and always come from the heart and that is only when we will get the answer to the prayers we have offered. Do not bear grudges in your heart when you pray, forgive others their trespass against you and God will forgive your own sins against Him. Prayer is the key and we must never joke with it.

Let Us Pray: Lord Jesus Christ, give me the grace to pray well and when I pray, may my words find acceptance in your presence and may you answer me. Amen.
